Imperfections, for me, are beautiful. I connect with the dolls and they become another family for me.

To the right are the photos of my mum and dad, Majorie and Charles Wright (Madge and Charlie). They are standing in the back garden of our home in Shavington, Cheshire. My mum was a carer for my dad in his final years. The dependency and love they had for each other can be seen clearly in this picture. It is a very touching picture to me.

The bottom picture was taken of their grave 2 years later after they both passed on.

Memory Boards
 As you come into the house, the hallway is mainly black and white writing. I needed to heal, I needed to get it out in someway, just to get rid of it, all of those emotions that were in my heart. I call them memory boards.

The two doll heads were bought together in a flea market in Paris called Vanves. As they were bought together they felt like they needed to be made into a Siamese twin sculptor. The sculptor is called “one is called blossom and one isn’t”. In the background is the “White bride”.

People often come to the House of Dreams with a question. They seek the permission to do something in their lives. They discover here that they only need to give themselves permission.
